BACK TO SCHOOL HAPPY HOUR
Young Professionals Committe (YPC) hosted a special fundraiser on August 26th to support Partnership with Children's annual backpack drive. The drive ensures our neediest children start the new school year with all the essential supplies they need, from bags to pens, pencils and notebooks. SUMMER HAPPY HOUR

The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) know how to throw a good party for a good cause! Undeterred by the gloomy weather, dozens of friends and coworkers showed up for their evening happy hour at Tonic East on July 14th. With plenty of cool drinks and great silent auction items for everyone to bid on, including spa treatments and private trainer sessions, the event  raised more than $1200 to benefit Partnership with Children! Join the YPC and friends again for another summer party on August 26th at Butterfield8, with all proceeds from the event going towards Partnership with Children's Summer Backpack Drive. The Young Professionals Committee threw a Date Auction on March 3rd, 2010 to raise money to support Partnership with Children's mission. Dozens of 20- and 30-somethings showed up to try their luck bidding on dates with eligible young men and women. The auctionees each planned special activities for their dates, from rock-climbing at Chelsea Piers, to wine-tasting. $7,000 was raised to support Partnership with Children's work to keep high-risk children and youth in school.

TOY DRIVE HAPPY HOUR

The Young Professionals Committee hosted Partnership with Children's first toy drive happy hour to collect gifts and raise money for the agency's neediest families for the holiday season. Guests brought gifts suitable for adolescent children, or $10. A total of $800 was raised  to go towards purchasing gifts for our children! Every year Partnership with Children's social workers identify families that will not be able to provide gifts for their children in the holiday season. We then collect gifts from donors, and invite volunteers to wrap them, before the gifts are delivered to the families. This is just one of the ways Partnership with Children helps brighten the lives of New York City's neediest children.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE AND GUEST PLAY TO WIN IN GOLF TOURNAMENT!

Teeing-off and putting their best swings to use, over  50 Young Professionals Committee members and guests gathered to support Partnership with Children in our first benefit golf outing. The tournament was held at the beautiful Pelham-Split Rock Golf Course in the Bronx on Saturday, October 10th. Teams of charity-minded golfers competed on the links for prizes including a $1,000,000 shot and a Caribbean cruise for two. A big BBQ lunch kept the participants fired up for the second half of the day. Competition was fierce as the golfers vied for the top prizes. Participants rounded out the day with a relaxing cocktail reception in the evening, and indulged in a multi-tiered cake provided by TLC Channels’ Buddy Valastro from the hit show “Cake Boss”! Over $15,000 was raised in the event, all of which will go towards supporting Partnership with Children’s programs. A special thanks to Shawn Kodes, Young Professionals Committee co-chair, who spearheaded the golf outing benefit.
